Lost another anchor

Post by Wolly Bugger » Wed Oct 19, 2016 6:50 pm

Put the pick down, and was busy setting up to fish put the lines in, sat back and wondered why they were going under the boat, we were drifting.

Pull up the anchor, waiting to hear the metalic clunk, nothing, no anchor again. Head back to buy another anchor. Whilst we were putting on bits of chain fell out of the chain guard, so we take the chain guard off only to find multiple links that were separating.

So up for another chain and second anchor.

Not impressed with the boat that I had just bought.

I lost my sarca anchor once, but I was only in about half a metre of water so it was ok haha.

That's the last thing you need with a new boat!

I remember losing my Stainless Steel Lonestar Anchor once in 3M of water.

Was almost going to dive to get it!

That was painful, learnt to buy Galvanized Anchors instead!
