What rod holders on a tinny

Post by Hardyakka » Mon Oct 17, 2016 10:39 pm

Hi all.

For my tinny I'm looking to replace the mixed bunch of road holders. At the moment there is a mixed bag of rod holders at various angles and materials. I'm wondering what do most people have on their tinny's.

Has anyone got aluminium ones welded in? If so, where and how much?

I have ones like this on my tinnie. Just have them screwed in with nylock nuts. You can move them around 360 degrees and take them off when not using them

Your best bet would be going to a aluminium boat builder and getting them to do it. The job will come out nicer and they will have all the angles you would need.

There are many types/styles of rod holders available. I have various, to suit the various styles of fishing I do.
What kinds of fishing do you do mate? How many people usually fishing on the boat? Do you have rails on bow and sides?
