Re: Fuel too old?
So drain old fuel. For a small boat or fuel tank its safer than asking for trouble later.
Ive got some fuel in my tank still from a few months ago. Ill have to drain it.
Does anyone know where to dispose off stale fuel?

At the end of each trip put it into your car if your not going to use your boat for a whilepurple5ive wrote:So drain old fuel. For a small boat or fuel tank its safer than asking for trouble later.

Re: Fuel too old?
My 2 stroke, Mercury does not like stale fuel, so what I do is I now add the conditioner, and when I go out, I put in a fresh mixture as well. There are reports of the piston damage in mercuries because of old stale fuel.rodderslw wrote:I have a yammi 60hp 4stroke i think theres about half a tank in it from june this year. The 4 stroke, Suzuki also isn't keen on old fuel, it will run, but not smoothly, after I got the boat, I put 25 litres of Premium fuel in it and once it all mixed the motor purred like a kitten.
