Peninsula Boat Ramp pass

Post by purple5ive » Tue Aug 30, 2016 10:54 am

Gday
looking to buy a Ramp pass for the peninsula areas.
the ramps im looking at are mornington and frankston/olivers hill

im just wondering what these ramps are like during snapper season. and what locations can i fish if i was to buy the franston/Oh one.
im quite familiar with mornington ramp, but have almost zero knowledge on Frankston/Oh ramps
mornington can get quite busy im aware, so thats the issue where do you guys park if the ramp parking is full?

ps - i have already got a pass for patto, so would that make mornington a better choice, since i could just get to franskton im sure from patto on a decent day

any help appreciated.

cheers

During peak snapper season its a 1 to2 hr wait to get your boat in st mornington. And parking is hsrd unless you're there at 4am.

I use to fish there a lot and regularly sè trailers parked up the big hill that exits the ramp and pier and on occasions parked all way parked up the top.

Arvos are fine unless the wankers with small dicks are out in force. Otherwise before 4am used to be OK with minimal wait. Parking is fine early morning, up the hill or on the esplanade if main carpark is full. It's generally only day trippers/tourists who whinge at you for parking away from the carpark

P.s it's 10 minutes from Patto-frankston at most

The pass from Frankston is only for Olivers Hill and Kananook creek.

Olivers hill is getting a revamp and not good to launch in a westerly saw one boat next to the pier with it;s nose in the air. There is limited parking at Kananook, with most parking out on the road. Plus the parking inspectors at Frankston take no prisoners.
