best insulation in fridge box

Post by barra mick » Sat Jul 30, 2016 5:38 pm

Ive got a box in the boat that is for my engal.

Im eithier going to use 10mm rubber on the inside to insulate it or foam.

I didnt think eithier would a problam or better than the other but this morning a bloke said the rubber would get to hot.

Naturall the box is enclosed and waterproof to protect the engal with a hatch down the side to open when I think the engal needs more air.

Any ideas

Cheers bm

I know you've said its in a waterproof box but make sure the fridge is getting a constant supply of air while it's running otherwise it'll cook itself.

Good stuff.

That's one mean looking workhorse. Love it mate. I can't remember if you bought the hull as a kit to put together or bought it off a big manufacturer as a basic hull and are kitting it out. Either way there's some pretty neat looking welds on it. Looks like it's gone together really well.
