a 60 hp min ive got a 455 quintrex coast runner and its got a 60 hp on it and goes well

Tackleberry does have a point. Once loaded up a two stroke can drink fuel like nobodies business. It's at the bottom end of OK but not preferable. Many will say that an ally hull should have its max HP rated outboard. I'm a big fan of 4 strokes but you often only get what you pay for. My guess is that 40 is the minimum rated HP for this hull and something like 75 is max.

Also with esky and 3 blokes fishing and gear it will be a disaster power wise.

Get some bad wind ect and you will feel the pain

75% time I fish solo....
Like all things it comes down to price...
I'll get me n dad to test boat at same time n see how it goes...
Ideally 50 plus would be better.....
My dad had 485 cuddy version with yam 60 HP n it had plenty of get up n go..
To many boats kayak, helicopter , catch a fish,catch a fish

The 40 would be ok being such a light boat, but a 60 as the minimum would be better. Better on a motor to not be sitting at wot just to get anywhere or straining to get the boat planing from a standing start.

As for the boat, they're ok. Being such a light boat they bang and crash in any sort of chop, fine if you're used to it though

Yeah coming from a 4.1 open tinnie....I'm use too chop....in no rush to buy..

Are you doing long trips in tbe boat bowl or just little trups across the bay
