The other parts that are rusty try some stuff called action corrosion gel it is amazing stuff then spray with the cold gal it will remove the rust and provide a good base for the spray gal. I am not a big fan of spray cold gal hot dipping is the way to go I know places that do galvanizing kingfield in somerton and geelong , I have used the geelong one before good job but expensive if doing the whole trailer.
The repairs you have done will make the trailer last a bit longer.

Yeah, my repair was a cost saving approach too. And it did the trick until at least the time I sold it 6 months later, probably a lot longer but I couldn't say. If you cut the gal pipe you'll still have to seal the cut ends with something I guess, cold gal? Salt water will always win in the end I suppose but I Cant argue with your thinking on the cost/benefit analysis. It's a good looking job too. Nice work.
