re-tyred I believe the Furuno 588 isn't a chirp sounder it uses what they market as rezboost to create similar to chirp results.

Furuno doesn’t provide the same tech the simrad stuff does i reckon. I don’t think furuno provide enough for the premium you pay.

Yeah sorry must have read the wrong spec. Aus Furuno site says REz boost.FCV1900 and a couple of other commercial ones, say Rezboost/Chrip on the way soon.
