Hi all, has or does anyone use the Lowrance/Simrad Insight Genesis charts for PPB ?
I'm keen to give it a go if it's worthwhile.
What are people's experience with it ?
Cheers
Jamie

Re: Insight Genesis for PPB
Just got home and had a look on the insight genesis website. There's not much saved inside PPB. Just out the heads is a bit better coverage but from what I can see it's on par with my normal Navico map on the sd card.
So far I'm not sold on it, I'm only interested on salt water fishing.

I haven't used it yet.
But from memory it relies on people mapping areas and uploading to the site. So someone has to do it first I believe.
I'm .just using navionics and it's been good so far

Yep that's right purple re users adding to the database of maps, I'm guessing now it may be more useful for freshwater fishos in dams and lakes etc where normal navionics cards don't cover. I guess most boat fishos in the bay might have the Nav cards as well so there's no benefit in using the insight genesis method.
