And you're right, if you wantto or have to, you can pull the blob of silicone away easily enough, but it does hold cabk s in place well.
I’d add photos but the file size of the photos on my phoneis too large.
Send the photos to yourself with MMS and they get compressed. Then save the photos from the message and upload those ones

If you are using the little square sticky backs-Put a dob of super glue on before sticking down-Never come off
