never mind i actually realised bottom lock is for when zooming function is used. it locks the bottom part of the sounding and zooms in on the bottom.

one thing you can try is to turn the unit off and back on again once you have settled down or get into deeper water. ive done this before when my sonar has refused to show depth and it works . see if that will fix the issue.
sometimes even swapping between downscan and normal sonar will fix the issue.
give that a go and see if it will fix the problem.

Im a computer geek and know well that 90% of all problems can be fixed with a simple reset, so logically that was one the first things i tried. Unfortunately made no difference lol

ok,
what setting did you use when you setup the unit. general fishing? try changing that to deep water fishing and see if that helps.

Yeah general

I assumed deep would be 200+ but ill give it a try anyway

yeah i got no other ideas as well, thats worth a shot .
all else fails a hard reset is next.

I was thinking hard reset but then you loose any way point and fishing marks ao write them down first
