Copy that. I'm thinking my next sounder will be a garmin striker 7sv. Might have to grab a cheap lowrance 4" for mapping @$329. For the same price as those two sounders you can get a combo garmin but I hate having to run split screen with GPS. Haha

The 95sv is big enough to split. Anything smaller than 7 isn't crash hot

Umm thats a sonar not a GPS bud.

ducky, then theres something wrong with your phone.
GPS on newer models such as ip5 and above, or galaxy s6 and above, are extremely accurate. They average less than 3m error.
And they should be damn accurate considering the number of apps out there relying on GPS signal.

I would never waste money on a brand name Navionics loaded unit. But thats just me

Yes correct. There was something wrong with my phone. But I wasn't aware there was something wrong with it. It could have easily been 20m out and put us off a channel etc. I just don't trust them.

Having said that I use navionics in ppb in my boat. My GPS on the sounder that came with the boat died. Won't read the gold card anymore for some reason.

I like being able to store GPS marks easily and all that other stuff.

Cobby. Does the GPSMAP garmins have that backtrack feature where you can select a sounding a it shows you on the GPS where you sounded it?
