This might be of interest to you BM. It's an underwater camera as well so you get the best of both worlds. Looks ok for $99

Yeah I've got 2 go-pros. They aren't cheap but they are the best, so you get what you pay for really. In terms of Battery life, might need a few batteries if you are going remotebarra mick wrote:yes i will probably but i wasnt sure what model go pro or was there something better out therescott__henning wrote:Why not get a go pro? You can mount them on the boat
in remote places im in my boat for days and alot off the time weeks by myself with no 240 volts to charge so looking at batteries that i can charge easily
im not the best with computer stuff but thought it would be a change than photos of fish that all look the same from each trip.
do you have a go pro scott??
cheers bm

Re: whats a good go pro or similiar for a boat
Hi guys. I am new to this site and this is my 1st post so hello.
I would like to add my 2 cents......IMO, most of the cameras offer good video these days, especially good enough for the average punter. I would pay more attention to the user interface. The GoPro Silver has a touch screen at the back which makes it easy to use....the other models you need to use the buttons and flipping between video and still frame and then the individual settings for both is far easier using a touch screen rather than the three buttons to navigate. I see battery life is important, I personally therefore would not look at buying the addon touchscreen which is available as it really eats up battery life.
As far as charging batteries, its easy to wire in a USB charging adapter to your 12v. You can buy the cigarette style adapters where you can just cut the end off and run to pos and neg.......there are probably others on the market if you do some homework.
Cheers
Terry
