vsr and battery moninitor in boat/ fridge box

Post by barra mick » Tue Aug 30, 2016 12:41 pm

Put the vsr and battery monitior in yestereday.

It looks all messy but in the end it turned out fine.

The battery monitior is important to me on long trips as it shows the state off the battery and how many amps im putting in or taking out.

I used the roof insulation for the firidge box ...pretty sure its going to be ok now.just need a hot day to test the temp out.

Looking good mick wiring could be a bit more organised. Good to see you are still drinking on the job with the scotch and coke

thats probably why the wire is looking ugly

It will be neat when ive finished testing the wires.....the last thing I ever need is your light ice getting warm.

I don't know much about fridge's but can they be installed and running in a sealed box ?
Do they put out any heat when working ?
Does the manufacturer approve of the sealed box and honour any warranty repair caused by over heating ?
Warranty is part of my work so I'm interested in what the fridge manufacturer suggests ?

yes.it has a vent down the bottom and two vents for the air to escape on the lid.

the box lid opens also...

Its to water proof the fridge and have it tied down tight over distance also

its only sealed when I need it to be.

its a engal so be ok.

I wouldnt even try it with a waco....the waco would see the box and have a heart attack
