Hi folks
I've just purchased and installed one of these units.
Are the settings for conventional sonar independent of those for downscan settings?. If you change the settings for conventional sonar are these picked up by downscan?
Cheers

Re: Lowrance Elite 9. Settings for sonar and downscan
they are both separate entities but share some stuff as far as i know.
i believe things like surface clarity stay between the two.
downscan has 2 frequencies and sonar has a few which are independent of each other.
downscan isnt very adjustable, sonar you can play around a bit more.
someone who has more knowledge might be able to help you out more.

You need to go to downscan in the pages, i.e., have downscan as your main screen to make further changes to it. The same goes for sonar, have it as the main screen.

I cant remember off-hand which settings control both and which are individual, but I know your contrast (which is like your sensitivity) can only be set with the downscan page open.Kestrel wrote: Thanks. So the settings for conventional sonar and downscan are separate?

Re: Lowrance Elite 9. Settings for sonar and downscan
they are both separate and you need to be in the appropriate type to adjust it.
downscan parameters only available when downscan selected
sonar only when sonar selected.
theres some that are universal, like shallow water, freshwater type setting, surface clarity i believe, and few others. all the other ones can only be set when you chhoose either of them.
same for the gps settings
