New/first gps and fish finder :D:D:D

Post by Joker91 » Tue Oct 21, 2014 4:52 pm

Finally got our fish finder :). We went with the lowrence elite 7 chirp. Gonna be installed hopefully next week and be out on the water to try it out and learn to read it.

What do you's think about this adjustable tranduser device for the boa(it's in the picture). Thought it would be better in case I ever need to adjust it, or do you just out it in one place and it'll be fine.

Also should the tranduser go straight into the aluminum of the boat or do we need to get a aluminum pieace welded on the back.

Thanks a lot :)

Also any tips on reading the fish finder and all would be great fall. And if any one could give some coordinates would be even better :D

There are books and dvd's available on how to use and interpret the returns for lowrance products as for gps marks do a google search and there are plenty available once at a mark sound around and look for signs of fish, sometimes they are just general locations not always guaranteed for fish to be there
