Simrad NSS 12 Chart with Google overlay

Post by Mustang38 » Mon Sep 08, 2014 8:59 pm

Went out on the weekend to continue the learning and try to understand the new Simrad NSS 12 Evo 2 system. Since updating with latest software version I have learnt that it puts the unit into Slave mode. So unlike me don't panic and think you have to pay the installer more money to undo what you have done. Simply go into the settings menu and find the section that has two boxes. Untick the slave box and tick master, hey presto everything is back catastrophe avoided.

These pics below are from the charts section under fish and chips. The top one is coming from the north round Bonbeach back towards Patto. The bottom pic is us parking in the Marina for lunch in Patto. I just can't get over how far sounder units have come from my first paper unit, loving the technology.

In regards to catching fish. If I cant. I might be posting on here for recipes for Bells and whistles. Have to re calibrate compass now we have loaded latest update to. If anyone sees a 38 Mustang of carrum doing circles its not my bad driving. I have to circle for 3 to 4 minutes at 2-3 degrees.
