I've been useing a small black and white one for years now haha, I know how to read it so does the job for me it's just for the bay, but my next one will have to have a chat plotter and GPS, colour and wide screen I like the humming birds.

When it comes down to it its really only a helpful tool

Good fisherman were catching great fish way before they came along.

When I fish the murray or goulburn I dont use mine...I just read the banks and look for structure....probably a dieing art form

I agree i still line up buildings and houses and markers to get me on my spot, I try to keep all my fishing old school.

Agree...but if you been on westernport when the fog sets in...a gps is the best thing next to the thermos...lol

picked up the elite ti today, install to come...cant wait, like a kid at christmas...
