I had half a day to spare so I made a start fitting my new transducer with some words of advice from retyred I removed the fold up rear seat so I could get access to the bilge area.

This is the old p79 tranducer and an anti fouling transducer the end of the aluminium fuel tank. I removed the p79 it was bonded with silastic to the hull but there is not enough room between fuel tank and the other transducer. So I removed the other transducer it was bonded to the hull with structural adhesive I managed to remove it without damaging it.
I then drilled a 6mm hole from inside I had already done a quick measure it would not hit any part of the trailer, I then put on the safety and protective equipment and proceded to cut a 98 mm hole in the hull.

I then put the transducer in from inside to check the hole and if necessary trim the spacer. Thats as far as I got today am on shift for the next four so next days off I will get tuna tube to come round and help me install it.

Today was the day to install my new transducer tuna tube came round to give me a hand thank god. Plenty of sealant was used and tightening the nut took both of us but its done now. I am back on shift the next 4 days so hopefully I will get to give it a go next week, when I run the cable I have left the old transducer cable there so I can swap over when I need to. Whilst I was in the bowels of my boat I decided to replace my bilge pump to a lower profile higher capacity.
