Frankston report

Post by Wolly Bugger » Tue May 24, 2011 7:48 am

Well after a really crappy day at work yesterday where I wanted to resign on the spot and rough nights sleep. Got up early and headed down to the waters edge.

High tide at around 7, wind at 12 knots, overcast and drizzly. Looked absolutely perfect.

First stop Olivers Hill, as the waves broke, the spray would come over the wall, heaps of white water out there. The little pier would occasionally disappear under water.

Had a few casts with the metal slug, and hooked heaps of weed. Moved to the bigger pier. Casting the metal slug and occasional soft plastic.

Moved from the beginning of the pier to the end, casting left and right and no hook ups, finally went to the shallows and hooked one on the metal slug, only to drop it at the pier. Next few casts had a few hits but no hook ups.

Changed to the soft plastics, and cast fruitlessly around without any hits. Time to go home and do the school run.

Have another spot to try after I buy some bait, this morning.
