Heading to the Peninsula this Friday and hoping for some land based recommendations on where to go and what to target.
Looks like it's going to be a run-in tide during the morning and early arvo when I'll be there (https://tides.willyweather.com.au/vic/m ... ngton.html), sunny day, 15 degrees.
I've got a variety of rods/reels and happy to target anything from snapper to squid to flathead, salmon, etc. Would like to try some rock fishing, but also happy with pier or beach, and could easily head to Western Port if there's not much good on peninsula.
Any tips on where to go and what to target? Thanks in advance!

Squid and aussie salmon still around. Go flick around with squid jig or metal lure. You can target them on most piers.

I used to get some nice kgw off the beach there at safety beach just down the road from there.
Maybe that could be worth a crack as well

The big squid should be coming into flinders, whiting should be on the bite too. Throw a slug and see if any barracouta or pike are around. Parrotfish, leatherjackets and salmon can be around too. Good luck.
