On the start of a week off , thought I'd walk the piers with the high tide and seeking a little shelter from the wind.
9.5cm Paddletails rigged to a 1/8oz 2/0 Jighead.
It's great to see yanks this size in such shallow water. With warmer weather coming up, it's only going to get busier

How did you go with weed? I had stopped going down to those piers because of the large amount of new weed that popped up a little while ago. Nice work on scoring a couple of flatties though!.

Weed is not too bad. my last session there a while back , there was heaps. Looks like it'll die off and turn into the matted layers that the flatties love to lay on to ambush

Couldn't sleep so went on down there at midnight with enthusiasm after your report. Weed is annoying at Ferguson however Gem was ok. Managed a 52cm Flattie. Good to see they are around again.

Perfect Monroe,
1/8 jighead on a 2/0 hook, maybe a 3/0, depending on the wind. Bit heavier.
Nice one, good to hear you did ok, no use whinging if the bay is windy, just go fishing at the fishing piers.

Finding a happy medium in weights. Shallow water with plenty of that wonderful fine green weed.
2/0 jigheads are fine for the bay. I save the 3/0 to 5/0 heavy duty jigheads for the duskies when I fish the S.E. Coast
