Newport warmies
Went to the warmies with my 2 little boys aged 7 and 4, got onto some nice salmons using pilchard fillets on a running sinker. Was only there for an hr but they had a ball catching and releasing the fishes. Most fish were between 40cm to 43cm and fought real hard on 6 lbs tackle. Saw a lot of people catching tailor and mullet with a few silver trevaly thrown in.

Re: Newport warmies
Your boys would have loved that on the gear you were using mate.
They would have had a ball catching and releasing those fish

Nah the post are still up everywhere, people still keeping fish and we saw the EPA team under the Westgate area on our way home. Not sure if it's a good idea to eat fish caught in the area but it doesnt hurt to catch and release.

Re: Newport warmies
That's the shot get them started early and they will be hooked for life !
Until they discover females but that's just a temporary distraction.
Eventually they will continue the fishing way of life again. :a_goodjob:
