Portsea Pier Squid Advice

Just wondering what advice I could get fro Portsea Pier Squid, what size jigs, time of the day, tides and what colour jigs I could use.

Use 2.5 and up, not 1.8

Your usual sunset, sunrise...

Heard red works well at portsea. i dont know if you know of Rui Jigs or not but theres an actual jig called 'portsea red'. Honestly though any colour is going to work if they're aggressive and like the way you move your jig..

its up to you to find out how to fish a location, so go give it a crack

I don't really fish portsea but when it's crowded, the back right hand corner of Sorrento produces hard on the slack tide. Size 3+ white glow yamas are always the best imo.

I belive the 14t jig works well in most area. Worth having 1 to atleast try it out

Best jig for western port I’m honestly convinced. Shame they’re expensive as.

Rui does a Portsea Red jig.
I'm with Doug on this one, white yama glow is the best jig I've used on that whole stretch of coast.

Lachy this is like your 3rd post on squid at portsea. You aint gonna get some magical info to guarantee a squid. Theres not going to be different info to the last two. So just stop posting threads on the same damn thing
