Hi all just wanted to post back a report. So on Thursday we went down for a day trip to portarlington. While the girls enjoyed the beach and swam in the water my son and I hit up the breakwall for a fish.
We fished for about 3 hours with no success apart from a small banjo. My son then had enough and wanted to go to mum and swim so I quickly walked him back and bought some hot jam donuts for them to enjoy (they are a must if your up that way, just delicious).
I returned back to the breakwall and after about 45 minutes had a bite and missed the hook up. I quickly rebaited and cast out and straight away had another touch and landed a nice KG whiting of about 37cm. I cast out again and soon after landed another one at 31cm. Went quiet after that. Bait was fresh mussels and burley was old pilchards mixed with tuna oil and chook pellets.
Thanks all for your advice
Cheers KeenAds.
