Land based suggestions?
Re: Land based suggestions?
Shame about the rod. Probably a ray, a few of them around. It’s an awesome spot but it can get really busy.

Oh also I lost a fishing rod. Put it in the holder, turned my back for 5 mins and GONE! No idea what the **** happened to it. Was only a little Gippsland special rod (nice rod but cheap) and Sedona reel... but still.

Re: Land based suggestions?
It had like 50m of mono left on the spool by the time I had waded out, casted and walked back to my rod holder. So even a big trevally or salmon could have spooled it. Very surprised how it didn't snap though since it was only 6lbssmile0784 wrote:bowl wrote:Ray,shark ,dragon , if you have drag set correctly ,you should hear it peel of line...smile0784 wrote:Probably a raybowl wrote:Put the drag on daredevil....Kimtown wrote:I think this place would have been excellent without an easterly.

admittedly it had a lot less line on the spool due to a pesky eagle, but still didn't think anything in there would really spool me. locals say there is some big rays getting around on the edge of that channel though.
