From the Nong the other day
Greetings all,
Fished the Nong a few days back. Got this fish on a live mullet. About 95cm it was a new pb and released. I'm well aware it's not big by any means but was still rapt to land it after an awesome fight.
Cheers

Go deathray! What an awesome fish. First for the season? I'm still waiting ... but soon. It's not so disappointing catching a few 1kg pinkies on my way, though.

Good fish but jeez those clouds are low, cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Must have been the mist rolling in over the river early in the morning. Speaking of which, that's a fair way up river, no?

Hey Bilby, I guess it is being around Flemington. Hardly a secret spot so probably no need to obscure.bilby wrote:Must have been the mist rolling in over the river early in the morning. Speaking of which, that's a fair way up river, no?

Well done on a great catch

Thanks, Deathray - that makes sense. I used to fish for them under the railway bridge in Kensington, but never managed to get a take there - mind you, I'm sure they're right through the system at any given time. I've heard they can be found all the way up to Avondale Heights.
