apparently, unless there is a "no boating" sign, they can fish anywhere they want. We found this out when we called fisheries to report netters in Hampton area very close to the beach. They came but told us they can fish and set their nets inches from the beach if they want to. Like this guy, who saw me hook up, drove over my float and parked 25m off the ledge i was standing on. Not another soul for km's either side and no other boats in the water.....
