Howdy

Haven't been out much but now it's warming up a bit it's looking good.

Tried sunrise off the rocks for whiting on 3rd October and caught one fifth of f%#k all. Managed 1 small flatty that got filleted then went back out on big hooks but nothing happened. Saw another bloke pull in a whopping banjo shark but that was it.

Next I tried the surf Saturday 13th late arvo into dark. Got 3 salmon b4 dark, (2 over 1kg) and turned one into slab baits and sent them out after dark. 1hr later had a nice little gummy @80cm. Soon after another rod kicked off and sure enough the line started screaming off down the beach, lots of good strong head shakes, then nothing. I think it bit me off, and also managed to cross my other 2 lines and the whole thing ended up 1 big birds nest which i pulled in to clean up as much as possible, then went home ... Had the whole beach to myself all arvo, where was everyone!?

Fun times!! bring on the warm nights.

Tight lines, alex

Looks like the boot is undersize. Please release undersized catch. :bat:

If you cant catch the other boot, why bother keeping one? :roflmao: '

Nice salmon there. Hope to snag another one on lure soon (no, not the boot, the salmon!)
