Finally wetting a line!

Post by Aaronvgp » Thu Jan 05, 2017 12:54 pm

Hi all its been a long time since I've been here but happy to be back. I haven't wet a line in really long time but tonight I will be. With poor water quality around Frankston and Mornington should I be looking to go somewhere else? Not after anything specifically tonight, just want to catch something!

Change of plan as I wasn't going to make it before high tide tonight I'm now heading out early tomorrow. I'm thinking of heading to the rocks at Hearn road. What can I expect from there? Should I put a bait on the bottom? Float? Lures?

Squid, lots of them at the moment. Try a gold or red foil for sunrise or early hours. Might be worthwhile throwing out a bait, you can get Salmon and pinky from time to time.
