Well I DID go to St. Kilda pier last night. Can't believe you stood me up Cador!

To make matters worse, I hooked into a BIG snapper, got him to the pier and the guy that was helping net him dropped it as he was lifting it clear of the water. The impact snapped the rig and the fish was gone.

I was absolutely GUTTED! (not sure I'll hook into anything like that for a long time)

Could have stayed out all night, but had work today so went home. EMPTY HANDED.

Still, it was the most fun I've had since I started up fishing.

You are the legend mate. I failed to convince my wife with your words. Yeah, she didn't let me go. But I just showed her your pictures of big reds. I think she will listen when I say it is the day for my catching activity.
That is why the title of this topic is "gale warning". wind = fish

not yet a legend... :roflmao:

Keep it up F-C. good on you

I thought we had a date man! :dinner:

At least I came home with a predictable fishing tale about 'the one that got away'. :snap:

Was fun times all the same

I was there but you did not approach me. Maybe I am not your type. :roflmao: :roflmao: about the table, it was too windy to set up :roflmao:

you will get that one that got away. dont forget to add 5 cm to the length of the fish everytime you tell the story  we can catch up sometime.

Will spin for flatties when I get the chance. Looks like they have arrived.
