Great page of info! Provides a good starting point for beginners like myself.
xOoOx There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot. xOoOx

Kitty miller bay at the island is a good spot. Its a bit of a walk but if you head to the end of the rocks on the right hand side there are some big leather jacktes to be had. Small long shank hook with squid works best. Big wrasse and the odd samon there 2.

Sadly Mushroom reef is a fishing sanctuary, it actually looks like a mushroom at low tide. But I guess you could still fish the edges at the point.
I used to send big baits out there under a float during low tide....ahh greenies! It used to be one of the best fishing spot in Flinders then they closed it about 6 years or so ago. :bat:

My daughter has been on my back to get out after some squid, after checking teh report - Warneet is looking like a good option
If the low tide is like 0.1 0r 0.2 metres dont bother going. There is 20 cms of water... The best time to go to warneet is high tide. Weed can also be an issue here.

flathead would be your main target the ones caught in warmer weather on plastics tend to be in the 40cm up to 70cm,nice eating size.other wise it would bait collecting, whiting at hastings jetty at a nice are abit spasmodic.jews at night are trying for here, plenty are hooked and lost or sighted.i thing ive noticed is they seem to take bait more than what i assume, dont hear of many taking live baits which is a proven method for them.seen and heard of them here up to the 10kg range, they get them alot bigger elsewhere.i just wonder if there's a connection between the smaller jews just as likely taking a bait as much as a livie.
