Landbased snapper - short lockdown session
Landbased snapper - short lockdown session
I headed out for my 2 hours of approved exercise within 5km of home the other night. I was chasing mulloway up river as usual, but picked up a trio of really nice pinkies - 31cm, 47cm and 53cm. The 47cm fish was a very light sandy colour, while the larger fish was bright red straight out of the water and very chunky (I'd estimate about 2kg).

That’s a very nice session mate.
There’s still nice snapper around if you know where to go
I found that out in my last session as well.
Nice catch.
Cheers

Thanks everyone. Just standard old pilchard I had in the freezer for these. It was great to catch some honest fish after my recent encounter with the huge "stingray" a few days ago in the same general vicinity.

Nice mate. How far up river did you get these? I get a little bit of yarra in my 5km haha

Nice haul mate. Half your luck living somewhere like that right now.
