By the way purple I wouldnt add weight in front of lure as it would cange the action of the lure

yes yes, not adding weights in the front, but further up along the mainline..

ok got it real heavy HB lol, my rods will break casting that. will need something bigger to cast with....

No daiwa surf gear here. You must be thinking about someone else.. adding weight further up the main line may help.. what is the cast weight of your rod as the duplex is lighter than the bezel and I find a much better action

yep must be someone else then..
16gm cast weight.. yes was going to use the weight further up the leader, almost like a running sinker setup.

Not 100% sure but I think berkley make one that is lighter.. sure u would be able to find 1.. alternatively I would use a squid rod if u have 1
