Frankston pier

Looking on heading to Frankston next week
Does the tide matter there when going for salmon?

To me, pier fishing is generally best on incoming tide. But for salmon, they're quite mobile, I've caught them on any tides.

Yeah, I think to the depth of the pier makes a difference.
I know when we get them at St Leonards over winter it always seems to be when the tide is higher.
