A few years ago the Salmon were hanging around the moorings at Sorrento, trolling the metal lures used for surf casting caught a few, changing to soft plastics saw the fish inhaling the lure, with double hook ups common, the drag on the reels was set to the maximum.

I eat them all the time. But I wouldn't be eating those ones. If you want to eat them kill them as soon as they hit the deck. Then bleed and gut them. Then straight into iced sea water... Fillet and skin them when you get back. They are great just fried the same as any other fish fillet.. Higher in Omega3 than most white fish like snapper and flathead. Lower in heavy metals as they are short lived fast breeders.
There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.
