Anything bigger than 25cm would probably snap my (beginners) rod in half! Haven't had the funds to upgrade to anything decent but will see what I can do Bender... Pretty sure you're safe though ;P

I'M BACK!!
How have you all been? Keeping out of trouble? What's the goss?

Bit of a disappearing act in 2014 due to a full time job and buying our first home which needed A LOT of work.
Even though we moved to within 10min of our favourite carp hunting area, we have been out there only once  UPSIDE: I FINALLY CAUGHT A FISH! Took until New Years Eve and was only a carp but better than nothing I guess...
Looks like I have plenty of topics to catch up on and keep myself occupied whilst the boyf works in the shed. He is trying to find a way to store my tinny that it doesn't take up too much room. Might be doing a pulley system to get her up out of the way.

Anyways, just thought I better reintroduce myself before I start posting again. Have an awesome weekend!

PS: Craigieburn Angling Club is running the bbq at Craigieburn Bunnings today if you're in the area. No idea about the club but thought it was random I saw them here after just getting back onto the forum.

Davek has turned to the 'dark side'! (see his rank!)
Miffy & Sparkles have a carp comp going in the 'VIP' section and are up to their usual! Lucky to still be on here...apparently cats do have nine lives!
cheers

Congrats on the mod status Dave!
Thanks for the heads up Jim. Knowing those feral toxoplasmosis-spreading flea bags are still kicking around will keep me looking over my shoulder whenever I'm out fishing. Still haven't forgiven their attempt at banning me hahaha

Hey Steve, it was you with the little guy at the northern carp cull yeah? I still have photos from that day on my phone and show people the size comparison between him and the monster fish when they try to say I'm bulldusting about Coburg Lake :victory:

Yes that was me. My little bloke Michael still reminds me how big his carp were ;)

Awwwww bit cruel from Michael! It's bad enough he outfished you that day but to keep rubbing it in..??
Actually that makes me a hypocrite because I still remind my Dad of the day I caught 7 fish (he only helped me with the last huge one) and he only caught 1. Think I was about 8yo at the time (I'm now 25) so definitely a blow to the ego for him.
