New old kid on the block

Post by Markac » Sun Apr 07, 2019 8:26 am

G'day
I'm back to full time travelling around Oz again after spending 10 years in Darwin chasing barra etc
Just got back into fishing for trout – fly mainly
I'm currently at Eildon for a while chasing trout and intend to move around
did a drift run with a guide the other day and was rapped
I've tried wading but struggle with the rushing water (I don’t want to end up in the Murray)

Welcome.
Yes, Goulburn river below the Eildon dam wall can have a very strong current this time of year. Usually it's much lower and slower in May just before the close of the season.
You can fish the nearby river, Rubicon. One of the feeding stream into Goulburn. Smaller river.
