Not everyone has a mate/mates/Dad that love to fish!!!
and thats how i met quite a few good mates who are forum members here.
also helps with the fact that the costs to go out fishing are split, so a bit better on the hip pocket for the skipper
having a second person with you is always a good thing from my point of view, i will never go fishing alone (exception is for patto chasing bream) but thats just me.
All my mates i met wen they come fishing from the forum when i needed deckies.
Frozenpod was my best man at my wedding last year.
Yep meet on the forum and became best mates

:a_goodjob:
Yep always a good mate and fishing storys are like :fish11:

I think it's great that people put themselves out there and are willing to make potential new friends...people are becoming more socially isolated (particularly men apparently)
This is one of my favourite threads & I think all deckies should read it (Deckie etiquette/rules)....viewtopic.php?f=70&t=1955
The world would be a better place if there were more givers and less takers.

B.all old mates live on mornington peninsula n not into fishing.

I generally love fishing solo ,but misses worry about going solo....
Thus why I have taken few blokes out from forum...

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Anyway..

I’m located in the south east of melbourne and looking for a decky who is reliable and humble sort of person.

Not really after big egos...

Launching most from carrum during the snapper hunt or top end of western port.
G'day Captain8,
I also would like to put my hand up, if you ever need a decky.

I'm 45 yrs old have a boat licence and can reverse a trailer if need be. Mostly free on Tuesdays and Fridays, but with a days notice can do any weekday.
I'm getting up at 2.45am Monday to Friday and drive for a living, so won't let anyone down!
Not quite sure if my fishing skills are up to scratch, but I manage fish every now and then.
Cheers,
John
This bloke sounds like he is a perfect candidate
