Dr Snapper is here

Post by Dr Snapper » Sat Jan 07, 2017 8:57 pm

Hi All,
I've read a bit over the last year or two. Time I started to contribute.

The name Dr Snapper comes from an 'agreement' I had with my boss. I am able to work from home occasionally (computer --> internet) when required. My boss is old fisherman and we get on well.
I had completed a huge project and asked if I could work from home the next day, starting at 10 AM. I said I had an appointment with Dr Snapper he gave me a wide grin and said, "no problem".
I've had a few appointments with Dr Snapper over the last 18 months but always got my required work done and have cancelled a few appointments with work gets in the way of fishing.

Time for your stories. I sure a few of you have arrived late to work after the fish were biting (10 more minutes turns into 25) or had a sickie. What cover up stories did you come up with?

I also acquired a boat. I have to name it! The best boat naming story is have heard was 30 years ago. A very successful businessman was in semi retirement, starting late or leaving the office early etc. He named is boat 'Serious Business' so that when people called his office his secretary could say, "John is not here, he is out on serious business".

So what am I going to name my boat. I'm sure a few of you will have a few suggestions and a few boat naming stories.

Cheers
