New to Victoria!
Hi all:
I am new to Victoria, I originally hail from up Queensland way so am used to estuary and saltwater fishing. But I've moved to Woodend now and I'm facing the challenges of freshwater fishing! I'm reading lots and looking to expand my horizons - may even try fly fishing!
I wouldn't say I am an experienced angler but I do enjoy it and I'm keen to learn. Nothing better that to go fishing with my kids! I've got a 'yak but am just as happy to throw a line in from the shore. If anyone is up around this area, I've be more than willing to meet up. I'm also looking at joining a local fishing club - met some members of the Calder Fly Fishing Assn - seems a great group - I'll look to join if I can't find any other clubs around.
I've been investigating reservoirs near here and will be camping up in the north of the state later this month so will throw a line in abound Nagambie as well.
So far I'm loving Victoria - such a great area and after so many years of heat and humidity the cool and dry are welcome.
Thanks and look forward to wetting a line with some of you!

G'day and welcome to the forum todge, cheers davo.
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them
