Not everyone has a mate/mates/Dad that love to fish!!!Kimtown wrote:Why do people want random deckies anyhow? Has always puzzled me. Go solo and do it yaself if you want things done your way, or better yet if you need a hand, take a mate or ya old man.
Fair enough points to be honest. I prefer to fish alone in the boat. Each to their own though.purple5ive wrote:Not everyone has a mate/mates/Dad that love to fish!!!Kimtown wrote:Why do people want random deckies anyhow? Has always puzzled me. and thats how i met quite a few good mates who are forum members here.
also helps with the fact that the costs to go out fishing are split, so a bit better on the hip pocket for the skipper
having a second person with you is always a good thing from my point of view, i will never go fishing alone (exception is for patto chasing bream) but thats just me.

I personally prefer a mate or 2. Makes it more entertaining when its quiet.Kimtown wrote:Fair enough points to be honest. I prefer to fish alone in the boat. Most deckies that offer to come out normally bring there own gear and 1/2 the bait needed for the whole boat to share and food to share.Captain8 wrote:Will name and shame another time...
Right now fish mainly weekends - early morning, and occasional weekdays.
Have a plate 5.5 half cabin, pretty experienced and have done the odd solo trip.
Happy to provide rods, baits etc.
Just good company and someone who ideally knows how to fish
Yep meet on the forum and became best mates :a_goodjob:smile0784 wrote:All my mates i met wen they come fishing from the forum when i needed deckies.purple5ive wrote:Not everyone has a mate/mates/Dad that love to fish!!!Kimtown wrote:Why do people want random deckies anyhow? Anyway..
I’m located in the south east of melbourne and looking for a decky who is reliable and humble sort of person.
Not really after big egos...
Launching most from carrum during the snapper hunt or top end of western port.
