What are the defects?
The kayak's instructions and advertising incorrectly state a maximum load capacity of 170kg. The kayak's maximum load capacity is 90kg.

What are the hazards?
Using the kayak to carry more than 90kg, may result in the kayak taking on excess water or capsizing. If this occurs, there is an increased risk of injury or drowning.

What should consumers do?
Consumers should stop using the kayak and return it to Anaconda for a full refund of the purchase price.
Oops...
Anyone have one?

Surprised it took this long. I've been hearing about these yaks sinking for months now.
Unfortunately people are still buying these incredibly cheap (from retailers too!) with no concern and seem to not care when you tell them whats wrong with it. Poor blokes.

Yeah, they just lowered the weight rating lol

You could probably buy it and return it to a different store for the full amount because unless they’ve marked them in some way there’d be no way of telling when it was bought and you don’t need a receipt for returning products where there’s a recall out.
