I run the Shimano PW nano in a 9ft. Mine is the 4 piece which means it is never out of the car. The action is fine and it casts mile.

I tend to run a 5000 loaded with 15lb mono. reel as I like the faster retrieving this can offer without spinning your arm off. I have had salmon ipto 60cm l. This and while not quick to land it was great fun and handled them no issue.

This casts upto 60g no problem but suits 45g perfectly. Bonus the white rod looks very cool.

A quick tip. Use a short 1m length of stiff heavy mono as a trace. I find this stops any wind issue or poor cast resulting in the braid wrapping the lure.

Picked up a Sienna FE 4000 from Anaconda for $30, but yet to pair with a rod.

Any ideas of regular sales that BCF/Anaconda or the like might have on the horizon? Aside from Boxing Day!

Anyone able to offer feedback on the Shimano Beastmaster 904?

Would it be suited for Salmon spinning?
