Eden

Post by spikestar » Thu Dec 20, 2012 7:36 am

Hey guy first time poster!

I will be going down to Eden on the weekend. Can you guys advice me where are good spots for fishing.

I will be staying across the road from Aslings Beach. I know I can catch salmon and tailor from the beach. That as much as I know.

Also would I be able to catch any kingfish from the beaches or small rocks as I'm only going with my girlfriend and wont be able to fish of Pulpit Rock or High Rock at Green Cape.

Looking forward to hear from you guys!

:D

The wharves in town itself produce bonito. The navy wharf is the best of the safer spots to target kingies and bonito.

I reackon there would be sharks hanging around Aslings at night, but I have never got around to trying.

From an old report in 2005 (http://www.fishingmonthly.com.au/Articl ... s-it-tough)
Jewfish up to 10kg have been caught on Aslings Beach on beach worms, while salmon and tailor have continued to be caught around the beaches and headlands.
