put nail polish on the ends of the joining bits or watch them thread, prolly the only downside of them tbh, half the reason i sold mine tbh
Iv also heared not so good things about them as well, my friend had 2 prevails and wasn't happy with it he got rid of them.
In what way was he not happy with them mate?
From what I can remember He didn't like the feel of them and One snapped at the tip when casting a light sinker so returned them back to bcf.

Both of mine have had a lot of use over the past couple of years. Have done heaps of rock fishing and neither has let me down. Always using 3-4 oz sinkers. Haven't had any problems. My mate used mine and liked it so bought himself one as well...

There was someone here a while back saying some pravails had a weakness in the ferrule that caused them to break a lot but they fixed it up in the recent versions.

A tad heavy going by specs. Depends what you want it for.... If it's for salmon that's way too heavy IMO. Something 6-10kg or around 8-15kg would be better suited (for bait fishing that is) with the 8-15kg being able to be used for gummies and other sharks if you like.

Good luck mate

I have 3 rods I use for surf, to give you an idea.

I have an 8-15kg which I use for salmon and gummy shark off the surf.

I have another of the same rod in 6-10kg for salmon

And I have a 9ft spin rod for surf spinning.

It really depends on what you want to do mainly. Everyone will have a different opinion as to what kind of rod and reel to get. It comes down to 2 main points in my opinion:

- what do you want it for

- what is your budget

Answer these two questions genuinely and you will narrow the search down a lot more.

Cheers mate
