Gunnamatta donut 12-9-2015

Post by nhillboy » Sat Sep 12, 2015 3:41 pm

Hi all, gave the Gunn another go this morning reading that the forecast was for a strong Nth'ly, 20-25 knots. It actually felt more like 10-15Knots. High tide was for around 11.20am. I fished from the steps all the way to the rocks and back 6.45 to 8.45 am. Not a single bite, ohhh well next time then. Plenty of waves and many surfers, 30+ spread out along most of the beach. At the steps were 10 bait fishos spread out over 100 metres. Don't think they had any luck either. Tried out my new wet suit material little snug booties i got from BCF..kept my feet warm and dry...Cheers until my next visit/report from the Gunn. :super:

Gunners is either on or off like all surf beaches u need something for the sambos to be there like bait fish and beach structure. Otherwise they will not come in close.

How does it go in warmer months? I guess surfers might be a problem.
