The Gunnamatta myth

Post by Wolly Bugger » Sun May 03, 2015 6:55 pm

Gunnamatta is suppose to be the one of the premier beaches for catching salmon, so I headed down there this arvo, not many cars in the carpark is the first warning sign.

The second is that there are only three visible bait fisho's. So the casual stroll casting the metal slug and winding in without a single hit, spoke to one bait fisho and he had only caught one.

Stroll casually along the beach toward the Cape. by now the arm started getting tired, so turned around fishless and slowly trudged back along the beach, occasionally slinging the slug into the water to get it wet.

Back to the car as the sun was setting.

Fortunately fishermen are optimists or otherwise they would never go fishing.

Gunnamatta myth..?
Stupid thing to say Phil, sometimes they're there, sometimes they're not. To say it's a premier beach is not a lie or a myth. I could stick a ton of photos up here if you want.. (well, at least Earl or Dougie could after I've texted the phots to them)..

I got donuts at Gunnamatta Saturday morning too. I saw a bait fisho catch one near the stairs but apart from that, nobody seems to have seen salmon there for about five days now. Gotta keep on plugging away I suppose - one day they will suddenly be there. If it was easy, everybody would be there.

I hate it when there's no cola. It's the best flavour
