salmon up to 3kg are going off at marengo and wild dog appolo bay :thumbsup:

Supposedly there are a few Salmon hanging around Portsea back beach already. I was thinking of wandering to Gunna today or tomorrow for a look, unsure as of yet.

went to portsea yesterday arvo,unfortunatly read the tide times wrong in the paper and was met with the low tide,fished a couple of hours 5 salmon(just size) and a crab all went back in.may be the high tide next week..pete

Went fishing today at frankston got one salmon at 41cm, pretty quiet day.

What bait were you using?

The gutter about the first third is very popular with a particular group, so it can be a bit hard getting a spot there.

Went down to franga not a bite, not a nibble. One bloke said he had been there 3 hours and not even lost a bait.

Chicken is popular, and I mostly use bluebait.
