salmon soup..

Post by re-tyred » Thu May 23, 2013 7:29 pm

well been a lot of salmon caught lately. I luv fish but was getting a bit bored with fillets done in every way I could think of, so I thought I would try making a soup. I amazed myself with how good it is.
Fillet and skin the salmon, remove all bones.
cut into rough cubes 1-2cm I used 2 filets from a 40cm fish.
1 or 2 cans of tomato pieces
Vegie or chicken, stock
some cubed potato
some vegies of your choice ( bit of celery and chives does me)
Herbs of your choice.. garlic chilli oregano for me
all in the slow cooker added a bit of water to make up the volume.
Cooked it all morning.
Fish loses it's strong taste and ends up mild and almost like a light meat.
give it a go if you are a soup eater. :stirthepot:
There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.

An old man hears the doorbell ring on the night of his 100th birthday. He opens the door to see a beautiful young woman in a babydoll nighty. She opens a card and reads, "It's your hundredth birthday, Grampa, and I've sent you a present I know you'll enjoy"!

She puts the card away and begins to undo her top, at which point gramps says, "What're you doing! Where's my present?" She says, "I'm here to give you SUPER sex"! He thinks about it for a minute and then says, "Well then, I guess I'll take the soup"!
